Voices of lived experience

The speakers bureau is a network of adoptees and foster care survivors that are able to provide presentations on issues related to Indigenous child welfare.

Customized presentations can be created  for the classroom, events, or professional development sessions that focuses on community building, supporting lived experienced of Indigenous adoptees impacted by colonial child welfare policies.

The range of topics include but are not limited too:

  • Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women/Girls
  • Historical Violence on Indigenous Women
  • Sixties Scoop Adoption
  • Grassroots Community building & Organizing
  •  Intergenerational Trauma
  • HIV/AIDS
  • Addictions
  • Mental Health(PTSD/ C-PTSD)
